What Kind of Server is Blithe?
Blithe is based around the popular Hermitcraft server currently hosted by Xisumavoid. The server, like ours, is a whitelist only community. It hosts several popular content creators like Grian, GoodTimesWithScar, Mumbo, Etho, and more!
Blithe endeavors to provide players with a similarly themed experience to the Hermits. We are a vanilla-like, Hermitcraft inspired server with a heavy concentration on community and building.
While Blithe has some plugins and modifications that help to make your game play experience amazing, the essense of the game stays the same.
Blithe has two main servers. The Creative Server and the Survival Server.
- The Survival Server is the main server and allows players to build alongside other players in the community, and pariticpate in the economy.
- The Creative Server is used as a way for players to experiment with their builds, and plan out their bases. But it also houses our Games District! Players can participate in mini-games (and mega-games) created by our community. Whether playing alone or with friends, you will always find something "creative" to do on this server. (Pun absolutely intended)
Blithe Through The Ages
Blithe opened to the public on March 11th 2021. During a time when the world was facing uncertainty, and people were spending time indoors, the original owner decided to start a small SMP. Little did he know that it would blossom into a thriving community and continue growing, even after 5 years of running.
That's right! Blithe enjoyed its 5th birthday in 2026 after going through an ownership change the previous year, and continues to host an amazing and creative community of players.
Seasons On Blithe
Blithe works on a season timeline. This means we reset our worlds with each new season. New world, new builds, new everything! (Same great community though.)
Blithe has a summer season and a winter season. The summer season starts around mid to late June and ends on the second last weekend of November. The winter season starts in mid to late December and ends on the second last weekend of May.
At the beginning of each season we have a handful of staple events, including the opening of the Shopping District, a server-wide dragon fight when we officially open the End, and several events put on by our very own Events Team!
At the end of each season we show off our accumulated wealth in the Shopping District with diamond pillars, complete our builds during Creative Week, and destroy it all during Anarchy Weekend!
But don't worry. We do season downloads for those who wish to keep their builds!
The Blithe Build Team always makes an accesible Spawn area and a fully stacked Nether Hub complete with highways for player convenience!
